West Ham United would like to clarify that Richard Scudamore's comments in relation to third-party ownership refer to the actions of former Directors of the club during investigations into third-party ownership in 2007 and have no link to current Board members David Sullivan, David Gold or Karren Brady, who only joined the club in January 2010.
