Cameroon international defender Rigobert Song is today celebrating his 37th birthday.

He spent a year-and-a-half as a Hammers player following a November 2000 move from Liverpool to make West Ham the second club he represented in the Premier League.

Song played 24 league games for the Club, to add to the 34 he played for Liverpool. He joined the Hammers following Rio Ferdinand's departure to Leeds United, but struggled to make the desired impact and was transferred to French side Lens after a loan spell in Germany with 1. FC Koln.

He later played in Turkey for Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, winning the league with the former and the cup with both clubs.

Internationally, Song appeared in four FIFA World Cups for his country, during a career which saw him win a record 138 caps.
