CST teams up with Orsett Park Royals

West Ham United Community Sports Trust (CST) is branching further out into the community by setting up brand new partnerships with local teams.

The trust has recently joined forces with Orsett Park Royals FC to support them in taking the club to the next level by hosting training sessions for them.

The sessions will see qualified coaches working with those coaches already at the club to enhance training drills and a variety of projects, to help Orsett go forward in developing young players from an early age.

Russell Walker, from Orsett Park Royals said: "We are all very excited about this new partnership with West Ham United Community Sports Trust. We all see this as an exciting and positive springboard for us to go forward.

"Everyone at the club is very keen on West Ham's coaches delivering our training sessions and we are delighted at what we hope is the start of a very long partnership."

Coaches from the CST will work with the club to make sure that families of the children who play for Orsett Park Royals, will be part of the set-up, boosting the community feel that the club has already in place.

And there are moves to start up more partnerships of this kind across Essex and east London.

Bryan Glover, Football Development Officer at the CST said: "We are very pleased at this new agreement in place with Orsett Park Royals. They are a very good club with ambitions to develop further for the future which will be exciting for everyone involved and for us to play a part in.

"Clubs like Orsett Park Royals are run on a voluntary basis with mums, dads and families helping out, all for the good of the children who represent them. It is a great project and here at West Ham are looking to create more of these across communities in Essex and London."
