Paul McCallum continued his fine form in front of goal for AFC Wimbledon with a first-half brace in the Dons' 2-2 draw at home to Wycombe Wanderers.
McCallum, whose loan spell at Kingsmeadow is set to expire on Saturday, has now notched four goals in his last three starts. But it wasn't all smiles for the teenager on Saturday, as he insisted the topsy-turvy stalemate was a missed opportunity for him and his Wimbledon teammates.
"We dominated the match from the start, but a couple of chances did not go in for us and also a couple of good opportunities that I had," he said. "We kept our heads up after they scored early on and played really well. I missed a great chance when I took it around the goalkeeper and I should have hit the target from there.
"The longer we went without scoring at the start of the second-half, the more chance there was of us conceding and it was frustrating for us in the end."
And while his long-term future may yet lie at the Boleyn Ground, the 19-year-old is happy to prolong his stay in Npower League Two, for the time being at least.
"If I am not in the plans at West Ham now, and I do not think I am because they have just signed two strikers, then I would gladly stay here longer if the gaffer wants me," he told the Dons' official website.
Elsewhere, Birmingham loan duo Ravel Morrison and Rob Hall were denied all three points at Huddersfield Town's Galpharm Stadium, courtesy of Adam Hammill's 93rd-minute equaliser.
Morrison, 19, making his 14th league start of the season, was replaced by Nikola Zigic in stoppage time, while exciting prospect Hall was an unused substitute.
Also plying his trade in the Championship, goalkeeper Stephen Henderson has returned to West Ham, having sustained an ankle injury during his stay at Ipswich Town.
The former Portsmouth stopper made 16 consecutive starts for the Tractor Boys, prior to Town's FA Cup defeat at Aston Villa.
Finally, after his Capital One Cup heroics for Bradford City, Blair Turgott returned to League Two action with a 2-1 home defeat against Oxford United.
Turgott replaced former Hammer Zavon Hines with 63 minutes gone and the scores level, but was unable to prevent his side slipping to a fourth home league reverse of the campaign.
