Hello everyone and Happy New Year to all West Ham United supporters.
I sincerely hope that you all had a great Christmas and New Year, however you celebrated it. I also hope that as many of you as possible were able to celebrate the arrival of 2013 with us at our 2-1 win over Norwich City on New Year's Day.
I was gutted to miss out as I was suspended for the match, but I made sure I was cheering the lads on from the sidelines like you all were and it was a great result for us.
We had been disappointed with losing at Reading and wanted to put things right straight away and we did just that, the lads did great - Nobes put away a great penalty as we know he can do and it was boss to see Joey get another strike under his belt.
We go into our FA Cup game against Manchester United with confidence and it would be nice to see our name in the next round of this famous cup. We will certainly have a go at it all and know, once again, we will have terrific support behind us as we try to win the game.
It should make for a fantastic match and we are looking forward to it, as I am sure you all are as well.
This week has seen us welcome two new arrivals to our club in Joe Cole and Marouane Chamakh - two top players who we are delighted to have here.
Marouane only joined us on Friday so we will be getting to know him as soon as possible over the next few days, but his quality speaks for itself and it will be great to have him in the squad. So, a big welcome to him from us all.
We are also really pleased and made-up to see Joe return to the club. He has had a tough time over the last few years and, while it was a shame it didn't work out for him at Liverpool, because I know the fans loved him up there, it is definitely our gain and he can come here now and show just what he is - a top, top player.
He seems to have fitted in right away and I think all the boys accepted him immediately because he is a West Ham boy.
We know he wants to be here. It is nice when you see someone who really wants to be at the club, which is what we are all about as a team. As I have said before with all the lads here, if we have people like this, we can't go too far wrong.
I would like to wish Modibo, known to us all here at West Ham as 'Van', good luck in the Africa Cup of Nations with Mali.
Finally, thank you again for all your support in 2012 - it was a great year for us, what with getting promoted and making a strong start to the current season.
Here's to us all going on to have a happy, healthy and successful 2013 together as West Ham United.
Come on you Irons!
