West Ham secured their second of three home wins in the space of ten days as they annihilated visitors' Portsmouth at the Boleyn Ground.

The prolific Vic Keeble bagged two in the goal fest with John Smith, Phil Woosnam, John Dick and Malcolm Musgrove also grabbing a goal each.

Five days later, on Christmas day, the Hammers would give their loyal following even more to celebrate by beating rivals Tottenham Hotspur 2-1.
