Three West Ham United players were in action for their loan clubs at the weekend.
Jordan Spence and Dan Potts (pictured) continued their spells in the Sky Bet Football League with MK Dons and Portsmouth respectively, while Pelly Ruddock made his debut for Luton Town in the FA Trophy.
Spence, who extended his deal with MK Dons last week, played the full 90 minutes but ended up on the losing side as Coventry City scored a 3-1 League One victory in Milton Keynes.
The 23-year-old has now made six appearances for Carl Robinson's side, scoring once. MK Dons are now 12th in the table and Spence could be on FA Cup duty this weekend when they entertain Conference South side Dover Athletic in the second round.
In League Two, Potts earned his first point and first clean sheet in Portsmouth colours as Pompey scored a goalless League Two draw at Hartlepool United.
The result ended a run of five defeats in succession for the south coast club, who sit 17th in the League Two standings ahead of Wednesday's home fixture with Wycombe Wanderers.
Finally, Ruddock enjoyed a clean sheet on his Luton debut as the Hatters drew 0-0 at Conference South outfit Staines Town in the FA Trophy first round. The centre-half could be involved again when the two sides meet in a replay at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday evening.
The 20-year-old could make his league debut for the Conference National title-chasers at sixth-placed Alfreton on Saturday.
Blair Turgott did not feature for Colchester United in their 2-1 League One defeat at Tranmere Rovers. The winger will have to wait until Saturday 14 December, when the U's host Notts County, to have a chance to make his bow.
