Former England international goalkeeper David James is today celebrating his 44th birthday..
A Hammer for three years between 2001-04, he started his career at Watford and then spent time at Liverpool and Aston Villa before returning south to join West Ham.
He played 91 league games for the Hammers, staying with the Club into the 2003/04 campaign after their relegation to Division One.
James returned to the top flight in January 2004 with Manchester City, and then played for Portsmouth before dropping down the divisions with Bristol City and Bournemouth.
He won 53 England caps and went to the 2002, 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups, and picked up a League Cup winners' medal at Liverpool and an FA Cup winners' medal with Portsmouth.
