Reid looking for more success

The return from injury of Winston Reid was a welcome sight for Hammers boss Sam Allardyce on Wednesday, especially as his defensive options had been restricted by the absence of James Tomkins and George McCartney.

New Zealander Reid played his part in helping West Ham to a 2-2 draw against Manchester United and is set to be involved again when they take on Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

He told West Ham TV that the Hammers would be fully focused on delivering another strong home display.

"Like always in this league, there are lots of good teams there and you always have to respect the team you're playing against," he explained. "It's a home game and we'll try to go out and win it and give another good performance.

"We want to do our best and we'll try to go out and give another good performance."
