West Ham United Development Squad goalkeeper Jake Larkins is recovering at home after suffering minor injuries in a car accident on Monday.
Larkins was driving to meet his team-mates ahead of the Barclays U21 Premier League fixture at Southampton when his car was involved in a collision on the A12 near Harold Park.
The 19-year-old was taken to Queen's Hospital in Romford, where he received excellent medical attention to treat minor head and neck injuries.
After spending the day in hospital, where he was accompanied by Development Squad manager Nick Haycock and Academy head of sports science and sports medicine Tom Smith, Larkins was discharged late on Monday evening and he is now recovering at home with his family.
Monday's fixture at Southampton was postponed and will now be rearranged.
