Away kit makes its debut

The new West Ham United away kit made its long-awaited debut in Tuesday night's away game at Boreham Wood.

All 22 players on show in the pre-season friendly proudly displayed the new navy shirt that the Hammers will wear when they visit the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League next season.

Captain Kevin Nolan, Hammer of the Year Mark Noble and Play-Off final goalscorer Ricardo Vaz Te all caught the eye in their new attire, which boasts the famous crossed Hammer detail and 'West Ham United' stitching on the back of the collar.

While the Hammers players were wearing the new kit for work, the shirt has been designed to be just as comfortable for leisure so fans can wear it wherever they are and for whatever they are doing. It is equally suitable for a night at the pub with friends as it is a trip to the Boleyn Ground.

Fans should be reminded that the new home kit will also go on sale on 19 July but it is available to pre-order online and instore now. As was the case with the away kit, West Ham will be running exclusive shopping nights for Season Ticket holders so they can be the first to get their hands on the new shirt. Full details will follow on whufc.com soon.
