West Ham United assistant manager Neil McDonald has launched a coaching scheme aimed at part-time football managers and coaches.
The ProSoccerSessions course, which will run at the Hammers' Chadwell Heath training ground by the UEFA Pro License-holding McDonald, will help amateur managers and coaches to improve their skills.
With the first course set to be held on the evening of Thursday 2 August, McDonald cannot wait to get started and pass on his expertise and experience.
"The aim is to give managers and coaches, especially those who are part time, a chance to enhance their coaching skills," he confirmed. "The sessions are spread over the season and in the evenings as I appreciate many of those it is aimed at also have 'day jobs'.
"From my experiences there are key skills and techniques that, if passed on to the players correctly, can improve a team tremendously. Each of the sessions will concentrate on a separate area and can be used as a self contained lesson or you can take part in the whole series. Full details are on the website.
"Each session will deal with the topic in a simple and effective way to help the individuals improve their overall coaching skills.
"Every good coach has to pass on skills and ideas that will improve a player. I hope I can help the people on my course to impart that extra bit of knowledge that will make a difference to that player's overall game."
The only qualification for attending is that you currently manage or coach a recognised football team - at any level - or are a player aspiring to be a coach.
ProSoccerSessions has been endorsed by West Ham striker Carlton Cole, who said: "Neil McDonald is a highly respected coach and has the great ability to get the best out of you in training so you are mentally and physically prepared for matchdays."
