West Ham United's Under-18s may have caught the eye on the pitch in the FA Youth Cup this season but they were equally as impressive off it during a recent charity collection for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
The players raised £750 between themselves and decided which charity to donate to and chose the London hospital which caters for youngsters, many of whom have life-threatening illnesses.
Academy administrator Trevor Lewin said: "The players wanted to give something back to a charity and once the money was collected, they decided on Great Ormond Street.
"We will do this every season and choose a different charity each time, so hopefully we can give a boost to as many as possible."
