West Ham United can confirm that Nicky Maynard has joined npower Championship club Cardiff City on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old leaves east London after eight months at the Boleyn Ground, having scored three goals in 16 appearances in all competitions.
Maynard joined the Hammers from Bristol City in January 2012 and scored on his full debut at Blackpool the following month. He also found the target against his new club in a npower Championship Play-Off semi-final second-leg home win in May.
The striker made his final appearance in claret and blue against his first club Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday evening, scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 Capital One Cup second-round victory.
Everyone at West Ham United would like to thank Nicky for his efforts and wish him every success in his future career.
