Players show their appreciation

West Ham United's first-team squad showed their appreciation for the fans on Saturday afternoon as they took part in their traditional end-of-season lap of honour.

Thousands of the West Ham faithful lined the pitch's perimeter as captain Kevin Nolan led the team to thank the fans for their consistent support throughout the season. Every member of the first-team squad wore a T-shirt saying 'Thanks for the support' before they were thrown into the crowd.

The sell-out gate of 35,000 summed up the amazing support that the club have received both home and away this campaign and both the manager and players were only too pleased to give their thanks.

"The fans were really up for it and we thank them for the support that they gave us on Saturday and all year," Sam Allardyce said. "We have had one or two disappointing results here but all year they have turned up in their thousands."

With West Ham's promotion fate now resting on the Play-Offs, tickets are in high demand for the home leg wth Cardiff City on Monday week. Full details and pricing can be found here.
