Pike hopeful on promotion

Hammers legend Geoff Pike spoke to West Ham TV about West Ham's promotion chances this season.

The former midfielder also shared his favourite memories from his 12 years at the Boelyn Ground, when he won the FA Cup and achieved promotion to the top flight. Now he is hopeful that the Hammers can push on into the top two starting with Brigthon and Hove Albion on Saturday.

"I think with the way Reading and Southampton are going at the moment, we will have to win all our remaining games in order to stand a chance of getting in the top two. It's a tough order but you never know and if you want to be in the Premier League you have to show your quality.

"There's not one single memory of my time here that stands out, just more individual targets that stand out. One of the things I wanted to do was play in front of a full house and once I'd done that it was a big of a milestone. Then there were the memorable days when we won the FA Cup in 1980 and were unfortunate to not beat Liverpool the following year in the League Cup Final."
