Loanee latest: Lee returns

Olly Lee and Jordan Brown have rejoined Ian Hendon's development squad after their respective loan spells ended.

Lee played 17 matches this season for Dagenham & Redbridge after joining them on a temporary basis, scoring three goals. He signed off with an hour in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Bristol Rovers, and although the 20-year-old has impressed, the Daggers are struggling at the wrong end of League Two.

Brown was back at the Boleyn in midweek after four matches in his temporary stay with Aldershot Town. He was left out of the club's Carling Cup tie with Manchester United. It remains to be seen if either Lee or Brown, both 20, will get a new loan opportunity.

In the Championship, Herita Ilunga played the 90 minutes for Doncaster Rovers as they ended a three-game losing run with a 1-1 draw at home to Coventry City. Jordan Spence did not figure for Bristol City as they prepared for the Boleyn on Tuesday with a 2-1 defeat of Barnsley.

Elsewhere on Saturday, the young loanees in action were headed by Marek Stech who played in goal as Yeovil Town lost 1-0 at second-placed Huddersfield Town in League One. Down in League Two, Callum McNaughton helped AFC Wimbledon to a creditable goalless draw at Shrewsbury Town.

Frank Nouble was on target again for his third goal in six matches for Gillingham but it was not enough to stop them losing 2-1 at Morecambe. Robert Hall was a winner again for Oxford United but did not find the target in their 2-1 triumph at home to Port Vale.

Finally, Cristian Montano was the only other loanee in action on Saturday as he came off the bench for the last half-hour of Swindon Town's goalless draw against Bradford City. Montano went closest to a goal with a late effort that just went wide. Ahmed Abdulla did not make the bench for Swindon.

Dominic Vose did not play for Braintree Town in their 4-3 defeat at Newport County that cost them a place in the first round proper of the FA Cup.
