Fancy a day with a difference at the football?
West Ham United make it possible for you to head along to the Boleyn for a great afternoon watching the Hammers and also rub shoulders with a FIFA World Cup winner. The increasingly popular 66 Club - with both bar and restaurant packages available - is becoming one of the must-visit places on a matchday.
Usually hosted by 1966 World Cup hero Martin Peters, guests get to enjoy the ultimate in hospitality before taking their VIP seats in the heart of the main Alpari Stand. Peters is the perfect host, taking time to talk to those who want to chat about the old days and also share their views on the new.
Speaking to West Ham TV, he revealed how much he relished the experience of meeting fans. "I think most of them do know me! It is good. I go around all the tables before the game starts and have a chat and a laugh and joke with them, as well as promote the club."
The evergreen former midfielder also likes what he sees on the pitch under Big Sam, with the manager a recent guest up in the new Champagne Bar. "There is a positive attitude," he added.
"It will only get better as it takes time for everyone to settle in. I think it is now starting to come together and we are winning games rather than losing. Let's hope it keeps on going."
