West Ham United are delighted to announce a brand new online store and mail order service is opening soon to further build and enhance on the success of the club's wide-ranging retail operation.
With the club stores going from strength to strength, the new official online store - to be launched on 1 June 2011 - will make it even easier for Hammers fans to buy direct and support the club. Whether near or far from Upton Park, fans will be able to shop with the Irons with ease.
Debbie Silver, West Ham United Head of Retail, said: "We chose to end what has been a great partnership with Kitbag who had been operating the online Megastore but as we move forward it makes sense for us to give supporters one united product offering run by the club for our fans.
"In our consultation with supporters, this was something that had come up time and time again. For the first time in years, fans will be able to see the same products, at the same price online, as they see in our stores."
The new official online store will be manned by a dedicated team of West Ham United staff. They will be based on site at the Boleyn Ground and will pick, pack and dispatch items - including the much-anticipated 2011/12 Macron replica kits and training wear - personally as well as answering all queries directly both via telephone and email.
We have partnered with a logistics firm to provide secure couriered delivery for all customer orders to ensure you receive your West Ham goods in a timely and safe manner.
Keep an eye on whufc.com for more information over the next fortnight, including the new name, web address and contact details of the club's official online mail order service. It promises a host of new features including kit personalisation, wish lists and social media.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
From 1 June 2011, any orders placed online will be through the new official West Ham United service, ending the club's association with independent retailers Kitbag who had been operating the online Megastore available at www.megastore.whufc.com.
Kitbag will still accept returns and queries regarding orders placed on their site until 1 July 2011. After that date, refunds will no longer be available through Kitbag or the club.
Please be aware that West Ham cannot refund or answer queries regarding Kitbag orders as their products may not be the same as sold instore, nor do we have access to Kitbag's systems.
Any customers who have queries between 1 June to 1 July 2011 should call Kitbag on 0161 688 1657. The lines will be open 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
