Bishop's Stortford win in pictures

A youthful West Ham United XI were bolstered by the inclusion of Scott Parker, Mark Noble and Jack Collison in the squad for Saturday's pre-season fixture at Bishop's Stortford.

The three first-team regulars watched from the bench as Junior Stanislas and Olly Lee gave the Hammers - led by first-team coach Wally Downes and new development coach Ian Hendon and watched by manager Sam Allardyce - a 2-0 half-time lead.

The trio arrived at half-time and helped West Ham to control the second half, with Collison capping a comfortable  3-0 victory with a superb individual goal.

Manager Allardyce was particularly pleased to see his midfield trio play. "It was good to see Mark Noble getting a game because he had a slight problem out in Switzerland,"  "We were able to give him half a game today which is good and the same with Scott and Jack."

He also confirmed he had rejected the chance to sign Eidur Gudjohnsen after protracted talks. "I was not prepared to wait any longer so I took the decision myself not to pursue it any further. I made that decision in my mind and we will now move on and try to find other players to come and join West Ham."

The official website was on hand to capture all the action at Woodside Park. Exclusive highlights and post-match reaction will appear on both whufc.com and West Ham TV.
