David Sullivan transfer update

The transfer window is open and West Ham United will be active once again in the New Year.

Sam Allardyce is looking for attack-minded players to add firepower to his squad as well as defensive reinforcements, with a number of bids already made before 1 January. The forwards being targeted are all proven goalscorers either at home or abroad.

Joint-Chairman David Sullivan said: "It is transfer window time again and once more, my friend and partner David Gold and I will do all within our power to make funds available to improve the squad.

"If we can sign players who we feel will improve the team, we will. Already we have made bids for three players that the manager has identified. However, it is not easy to try and acquire key players that other clubs don't want to lose.

"Rest assured, though, I'll be working 24/7 throughout the month of January to do the business we need."
