Promising West Ham United midfielder Ahmed Abdulla has joined League Two club Swindon Town on loan until 7 January 2012.
The 19-year-old will link up with former Hammers forward Paolo Di Canio, who is now in charge at The County Ground, and could make his Football League debut in Saturday's live Sky-televised visit of Rotherham United.
Born in Saudi Arabia, Abdulla joined West Ham from Arsenal at the age of 16. Originally a forward, he was converted into a deep-lying or attacking central midfielder during the 2010/11 season.
Abdulla made a club-high 17 Barclays Premier Reserve League appearances in 2010/11, scoring one goal - a penalty in a 4-1 defeat at his former club.
He has featured regularly for the development squad in recent weeks, appearing in all eight matches played by Ian Hendon's side so far this season.
Abdulla becomes the fifth Hammer to go out on loan this summer, joining Pablo Barrera (Real Zaragoza), Jordan Spence (Bristol City), Cristian Montano (Notts County) and Olly Lee (Dagenham & Redbridge).
