West Ham United were hard at work on the training pitch on Friday as Sam Allardyce put the finishing touches to preparations for the weekend.
The manager was in the thick of the action for a session that saw everyone in the squad eager to impress. All were hoping to be named in his plans for the visit of Cardiff City on Sunday.
Among them were new recruits Abdoulaye Faye (pictured), Joey O'Brien, Matt Taylor and Kevin Nolan - with all three in line to make their competitive debuts for the club. The England trio of Robert Green, Scott Parker and Carlton Cole also trained.
