Victor Obinna's match-winning contribution at Sunderland has fired the imagination of fans before Saturday's big derby date with Tottenham Hotspur
Ticket Office trade was brisk on Wednesday after Obinna struck the decisive goal in the 2-1 Carling Cup victory. Just 1,500 tickets now remain for the Spurs clash, which will take place at 3pm on Saturday 25 September. The match is not being televised live in England.
Obinna, who shone at the 2010 FIFA World Cup for Nigeria, said: "I am sure it is going to be incredible. It will be a great atmosphere and I am looking forward to it. I know the fans are quite eager to watch the game and support the team. It is going to be the same for the players, we will all be up for it."
It will be another entertaining encounter with UEFA Champions League contenders Spurs set to include new recruits William Gallas and Rafael van der Vaart. The Hammers could also be at full strength with real competition for places - particularly in attack, including exciting new forwards Frederic Piquionne, Pablo Barrera and Victor Obinna.
