Matt Fry and George Moncur were both on the winning side during a busy night of domestic and international football.
On-loan defender Fry was in Charlton Athletic's starting XI as the Addicks secured their passage to the FA Cup second round with a 1-0 replay win over Barnet at The Valley.
Former West Ham United winger Kyel Reid's 18th-minute goal was enough to send Charlton through to a second-round meeting with either Luton Town or Corby, who meet in their own replay on Wednesday evening.
Elsewhere, Moncur made his debut for England's Under-18 side in their 3-0 friendly victory over Poland at Wycombe Wanderers' Adams Park stadium.
The 17-year-old midfielder, who has appeared for Alex Dyer's reserve team already this season, was sent on as a 69th-minute substitute. He will now hope to impress coach Noel Blake and earn a spot in England's squad for their UEFA European U19 Championship qualifying Elite Qualifying Road fixtures in the spring.
England will be one of 28 nations battling it out for a place in the eight-team finals in Romania next summer.
