Optimism is high for the 2010/11 campaign among the first team. The new recruits will complement the club's talented youngsters and seasoned professionals like Robert Green and Scott Parker, and all are up for the challenge. The first three home games see Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur arrive, and Hitzlsperger is excited.
"These are matches that stand out of course for many people, supporters, but all games I am looking forward to. They are tough opponents because they are the best teams in the league but we will take every game as it comes, whoever we are playing and I am just looking forward to playing everyone we come up against."
