A group of West Ham United fans will get together this weekend for a special football tournament in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.
The event will take place from 12pm at The Sandon School in Chelmsford and has been organised by Richard Collins, Darren Hogwood and Ross Chipperfield, part of a group of fans who chat regularly on the westhamonline.net internet forum.
The WHO5aside tournament is expected to last for three hours, with six teams playing against each other in a round-robin tournament before a final is played to declared the winner.
Collins said: "The idea was to get a group together to have a laugh and play football while raising money for a great cause, For me it was a bit more personal. Two years ago, almost to the day of the tournament, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I have been looking at different ways to raise money and to give something back. This seemed like an ideal opportunity."
