Scott Parker has spoken of the importance of strong backing from the Boleyn Ground faithful for tonight's huge encounter with Birmingham City.
The reigning Hammer of the Year issued a rallying call ahead of the match, knowing how vital an intimidating stadium can be to the Hammers cause against their in-form opponents. "We have come off a disappointing result and tonight is crucial," he said.
"We need to win and we will be going into it firing and hopefully the fans can get behind the lads. Everyone will be giving their all.
"The noise from the supporters is very important. When the fans get right behind us, it is massive. I can only explain how it feels as a player when you hear the crowd and the atmosphere is up, it can be the 12th man.
"I am sure tonight will be no different but we need to give them something to get behind. Hopefully it will be a big night."
