Green and Faubert meet fans

Robert Green and Julien Faubert enjoyed an afternoon meeting fans of all ages at a special signing session held at the club's Boleyn Ground store on Friday.

The pair happily signed autographs for fans, many of whom were enjoying the last weekday of their Easter school holidays. Both players posed for pictures as they autographed footballs, shirts, autograph books and other items available in the shop, such as mini-boxing gloves and flags.

England goalkeeper Green and French defender Faubert have been preparing this week for Monday night's trip to Liverpool but were more than happy to meet with fans. They were delighted to receive good wishes for the Anfield date from the many people who queued up to see them.

Faubert said: "All the fans had a smile and best wishes for us and it was nice to meet them. They have been good to us this season, sometimes it has been hard this year but they are always there.

"For us to spend some time to meet and sign things for them is just a little part of what we can do in return for their support, we were only happy to do so."

It was the second club store signing of the week, with Benni McCarthy and Fabio Daprela visiting the Lakeside shop earlier in the week. Remember to always keep an eye on whufc.com for news of more player appearances and special events.
