Hines capped again

Zavon Hines won his second England Under-21 cap as the Young Lions recorded a creditable goalless draw away to Lithuania.

The fixture came four days after the 1-0 home win against Portugal at Wembley on Saturday when Hines was an unused substitute. On Tuesday night in Vilnius, Hines appeared as a 66th-minute substitute for Fabrice Muamba but was unable to help break the deadlock. Last month, he had scored twice on his debut as England won 6-3 in FYR Macedonia.

Stuart Pearce's England have eleven points from their first five fixtures in 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying to sit in second place in Group Nine. They trail leaders Greece but are above third-placed Portugal, with those two nations playing each other on Tuesday.
