After Julien Faubert and Zavon Hines were recognised for their performances in August and September respectively, October's vote will see a third player take the trophy after being nominated by fans.
The shortlist of six for October contains Matthew Upson, Scott Parker, Jack Collison, Valon Behrami, Alessandro Diamanti and Carlton Cole.
