Albert Thomas

Albert 'Tom' Thomas, died at the age of 84 on 1 May 2009.  He was a life-long West Ham United fan who had been coming to the Boleyn Ground for over 70 years, until last season when ill health finally prevented him from going to matches.

His greatest memory of watching West Ham was the European Cup Winners Cup final at Wembley in 1965, a game he said demonstrated how the game should be played.

His funeral will feature nothing but claret and blue flowers, I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles will be played, and Albert requested that all contributions are donated to the Bobby Moore fund. His son Richard and grandson Adam, will both attend the final game of the season against Middlesbrough.
