New away kit revealed

West Ham United's brand new Umbro away kit for the 2009/10 season has officially been revealed today.

The new kit, worn for the first time by Jack Collison and Carlton Cole, uses a striking modern design that also respects the club's traditions by combining the popular dark blue that dates back to the Thames Ironworks with a bold sky blue panel. The state of the art fabric uses Umbro's innovative Climate Control technology to enhance the movement of moisture away from the body.

The new away goalkeeper shirt to be worn by Robert Green has also been unveiled and you can see exclusive footage of all three players during the club's photo-shoot. Simply click on the homepage freeplayer - where you can also see a host of exclusive free WHUTV content every week including Gianfranco Zola's broadcast press conferences - to watch the video.

Available to pre-order now ahead of the official launch on Thursday 18 June, the new away kit is sure to prove popular this summer. The club stores and the official online Megastore are already reporting a brisk trade with supporters eager to make sure they will get the kit first and fastest.

Those wanting to follow suit - perhaps in time for that all-important summer holiday - can order it from the Stadium and Lakeside club stores or online. To pre-order, click here. Fans who cannot wait that long to get a taste of next season can already buy selected items from the new 2009/10 Umbro Training Range, which was launched last month by Matthew Upson, Junior Stanislas and Mark Noble.
