Important travel advice for fans

Tickets for West Ham United's first two home games of the 2009/10 season went on sale to club members on Tuesday morning and fans wanting to purchase should be aware of planned improvement work on the London Underground.

The Hammersmith and City line and the District line will be shut between Barking and Whitechapel for Tottenham Hotspur's visit to the Boleyn Ground Sunday 23 August and the home game with Liverpool on Saturday 19 September. This means that Plaistow, Upton Park and East Ham tube stations will have no underground service running to them.

For further information and journey planning, please visit the Transport for London website by clicking here. whufc.com will also have further travel information in the run-up to both matches.

Tickets for the two games are now on sale to club members. Click here for more information.
