Dixon talks to WHUTV

Terry Dixon has given his first interview to WHUTV since signing for West Ham United on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old Ireland youth international spoke of his determination to get some game time under his belt before this season. "There isn't really a rush but I would like to try and get involved in the first team towards the end of the season as long as everything is ok with the club as they may be kicking on for Europe," Dixon said.

"We'll see what happens as I'd like to get a few games under my belt for the reserves and then show the manager what I can do. I just want to pay the club back"

The striker also talks about the dedicated work West Ham's medical team have done with him at Chadwell Heath to help him return to fitness and his ambitions to return to the international set-up with Ireland after being called up to the full squad at just 16.
