The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK has thanked all at West Ham United and SBOBET for their continued support.
Charity founder Stephanie Moore MBE received two cheques during the weekend fixture with Manchester United. The first was for £42,000, raised by the club and supporters from the pre-season fixture with SSC Napoli.
SBOBET then donated £5,000, having already provided a free scarf for every supporter. The giveaway was designed to promote the first year of their partnership with the club and help raise awareness of the Bobby Moore Fund.
Stephanie Moore said: "A massive 'thank you' to West Ham United, SBOBET and to you the fans for your support so far this year. I am so pleased and proud to be able to say that together you have already managed to raise over £50,000. All money raised by and for the charity goes towards funding our vital bowel cancer research.
"I am extremely proud that Bobby is remembered and regarded so highly. It is always very emotional for me when I come to West Ham because Bobby is still so loved and admired here and West Ham has such heritage and history."
