Injury update - April 2009

Dean Ashton - Left ankle injury suffered on Monday 15 September 2008 in training which led to surgery in early February. He is working on a personal rehabilitation programme in readiness for pre-season. Not expected to play again this campaign.

Valon Behrami - Anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee suffered on Sunday 1 March 2009 in 1-0 home win against Manchester City. Initial reports suggested six months on the sidelines and he is restricted to light rehabilitation and fitness work.

Carlton Cole - Groin injury suffered on international duty with England in the 5-0 friendly win against Slovakia at Wembley on 28 March 2009. Following a personal fitness programme and is hopeful of a comeback before the end of the season.

James Collins - Minor calf muscle problem in his right leg suffered during the first half of the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa on Saturday 18 April 2009. Expected to return to full training soon and should play a significant part before the end of the season.

Jack Collison - Dislocated right kneecap suffered Wednesday 4 March 2009 in 1-0 win at Wigan Athletic that required arthroscopic surgery. Due to start full training week beginning Monday 27 April with the hope of a comeback before season end.

Terry Dixon - Recovered from knee injury but working on fitness after not playing a game since between being released by Tottenham Hotspur in March 2008 and signing in February 2009. Yet to play for the club at any level and is unlikely to figure during 2008/09.

Danny Gabbidon - Persistent abdominal/back problem. Has not played a senior game since the 2-1 home defeat by Everton in the League Cup quarter-final on 12 December 2007, although figured for the reserves at Portsmouth on 23 January 2008.

Scott Parker - Groin injury sustained following 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers on 21 March 2009. Following a dedicated rehabiltation programme including strengthening work in the hope of returning to have a major impact before the end of the season.
