72min - Arsenal have a corner but it comes to nothing and West Ham United break quickly. Stokes gets put through but his shot is wide of the target.
70min - Simpson shoots from a central position but Lastuvka is well placed.
69min - United goalscorer Stanislas is off for Tony Stokes.
68min - Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is on for Steer, while Gilles Sunu has replaced Murphy.
67min - Arsenal are readying a couple of substitutes. Collison feeds Stanislas on the right wing but he is flagged offside as he puts the ball in the net.
65min - Spence is doing well this half and almost gets Sears in behind but the offside flag goes up.
64min - Sears and Boa Morte link up equally well but the latter's ball through is just over-hit. Arsenal clear.
62min - Simpson and Merida combine before the former gets a half-chance in a central position. He cannot keep it down though.
60min - Rodgers brings down Spence in an advanced position on the right wing. Boa Morte's free-kick is cleared for a corner that the Portuguese will take again. Collins rises to head for goal but it hits Gavin Hoyte.
59min - Merida jinks inside from the left wing before having a go with a low shot that sails wide of Lastuvka's right-hand post.
57min - Rodgers is cautioned after a late tackle on Jordan Spence, who had burst up the right flank.
56min - Free-kick to Arsenal after Merida is fouled by Reid. Mark Randall takes it but it comes to nothing as Lastuvka comfortably collects.
55min - A lovely chipped ball through to Boa Morte from Stanislas ends with the No8 working a shooting opportunity. The shot is too high, though.
54min - Coquelin is penalised for a foul on Boa Morte but the Portuguese attacker just gets on with the play.
52min - Steer lofts the ball goalwards from the left but Lastuvka comes and claims. Arsenal send out Rui Fonte to warm up.
50min - Davenport finds himself in an advanced position to the right of goal. He crosses for Sears but the striker - who scored four in the last home reserve outing - cannot connect.
49min - Collison shoots from range. It deflects off Gavin Hoyte and only just misses rolling into the net with Mannone stranded.
48min - Stanislas takes a corner but Amaury Bischoff is able to clear.
46min - West Ham United get us under way. Bondz 'Gala is on for Walter Lopez. It is a straight swap with the homegrown youngster going to left-back.
HALF-TIME
45min - The referee blows his whistle to bring an end to an entertaining half.
44min - Boa Morte and Sears combine before Collison has a go from 30 yards. It never troubled Mannone.
43min - Mark Randall's long-range effort deflects behind off Davenport. Merida takes the corner but Lastuvka collects.
43min - Murphy finds room and crosses again. Lastuvka claims the corner that follows and from it Reid races away on the counter. He is stopped in his tracks by Simpson.
40min - Murphy is inches away from equalising after great work by Simpson to the right of the goal. That was close.
38min - Lopez tries his luck but Mannone makes the save.
37min - Arsenal have played their part in the contest and should have scored when Francis Coquelin slid the ball to Murphy. His shot was low but Lastuvka got down well to smother the ball.
34min - Mannone makes a good save from Sears's fierce shot. Another goal seems likely.
32min - Collison goes close after working an opportunity on the edge of the penalty area. The skipper's shot went low to the keeper's right.
30min - This is a great game and there is plenty of endeavour from both teams. Luis Boa Morte has looked bright and the play of Lopez and Reid along the left is particularly promising.
27min - After Sears just fails to connect close-in after Davenport's header caused all sorts of trouble, Arsenal break quickly. Merida plays in Jay Simpson but the No9 shoots wide.
26min - Reid and Sears play a neat one-two before Reid is upended just on the corner of the penalty area.
25min - Reid finds room to the left of goal but blazes his shot over.
24min - GOAL! - Junior Stanislas opens the scoring with a terrific volley on the right of the penalty area after Lopez's cross.
20min - A long ball from Davenport picks out Junior Stanislas on the left wing. He slides it across for Sears who looks a certain scorer until a last-ditch tackle. Davenport then rises to meet the corner but again the ball is put behind by the visiting defence. From that corner, Mannone drops the ball but Mullins cannot get a shot away.
18min - Merida has the ball in the net but the referee's assistant had his flag up for offside long before.
17min - Fran Merida shoots over from long range. The Spanish youngster is one of Arsene Wenger's most promising teenagers and he is already showing plenty of attacking intent tonight.
14min - Hayden Mullins and then Luis Boa Morte slide in with well-timed tackles. There is plenty of commitment from the experienced West Ham United performers in front of the watching Gianfranco Zola, Steve Clarke and Kevin Keen.
13min - There is a good crowd here at Woodside Park, despite the attraction of the Champions League on television and the chilly weather.
11min - Rene Steer wins a corner that Mark Randall takes. Rodgers meets it on the volley at the back post but it sails high and wide.
10min - Reid wins another corner following bright play by Lopez and captain Jack Collison. Reid takes the set-piece but again Mannone is there to claim.
8min - Amaury Bischoff fires in a speculative effort from distance but it never troubled Lastuvka as it sailed over the crossbar.
7min - Kyel Reid dances down the left wing before crossing but again Mannone is equal to it.
6min - An excellent cross by Walter Lopez goes across goal and allows Sears a chance at the far post. The No9's effort is cleared for a corner. Calum Davenport gets up well to head but Arsenal are able to get the ball away.
3min - Paul Rodgers bursts forward for Arsenal but is closed down well. Freddie Sears then gets a break on the right but his cross is straight at Vito Mannone and the Arsenal No1 is able to avert the danger.
1min - Rhys Murphy forces an early save from Jan Lastuvka. From the resulting corner, the Czech keeper claims comfortably.
