Barclays Premier Reserve League South
West Ham United reserves 0-0 Chelsea reserves

FULL TIME

90min - There will be two minutes of added time. Edgar wins a corner for West Ham United. Dailly nearly meets it but the ball is cleared before it gets to him.

87min - Melis unleashes a shot. Guess who is there to block? 'Gala, of course. It has been a terrific performance by the young defender nicknamed Bonzo.

86min - Collison nearly wins it in the closing stages. The No7 strode on to Dailly's flick but could not keep his shot on target.

84min - A breakaway by Chelsea leaves them with four against two. It doesn't matter - 'Gala is there to snuff out the danger and the resulting corner is wasted by the visitors.

83min - Miller is booked for a challenge that left Stoch on the floor. Chelsea free-kick. When the ball is played in, Adrian Pettigrew tries his luck with an overhead kick but it flies over.

81min - Any time Chelsea have got through, either the defence or Walker has stood firm. A few more tests seem likely before the final whistle, however.

79min - Both teams are still going for the win. It looked like Rodriguez was going to get clear before 'Gala stepped in to clear.

77min - 'Gala does well to get a foot to Stoch's shot. It was on target but the deflection sends it for a corner. Chelsea look dangerous but the set-piece ends with a goal-kick.

75min - Widdowson concedes a free-kick on the edge of the area. Fitzgerald is coming off for Anthony Edgar. From the resulting set-piece, Walker claims a powerful shot with ease.

73min - Tom Harvey is on for Hunt in Kevin Keen's first change.

72min - Stoch rattles the crossbar with a dipping shot from fully 30 yards. Walker dived full length but had to be grateful for the woodwork.

70min - Phillip wins a corner straight away. Stoch whips it in and it nearly beats Walker at the near post before Dailly flings himself at the ball to head clear spectacularly.

70min - The third and final change for Chelsea. Adam Phillip is on for Nielsen.

68min - Dailly is fouled by Bridcutt. Not for the first time.

66min - A chance to break for Hines. He races forward on the left wing with Collison and Hunt in support but Chelsea get the ball away.

64min - An instant chance for Melis but the substitute's shot barely reaches Walker in the home goal.

62min - Collison concedes a free-kick about 25 yards from goal. The captain will have to be careful, having already been booked. The free-kick is a dangerous one by Rodriguez but Dailly clears.

60min - A second change for Chelsea with Woods coming off to be replaced by Jacob Melis.

59min - Stanislas does well to get some room but is closed out. The best move of the match then follows with impressive play by Joe Widdowson and Collison before the ball is worked to Ashley Miller to the right of goal. He fires in a low shot but Searle is equal to it.

56min - Dailly shows he is still committed to the cause with a sensational tackle on Bridcutt. The two No6s have never been too far away from each other tonight.

54min - Stoch blasts a free-kick into the wall that leaves Dailly momentarily dazed. Any other player would have gone to ground with the force of that drive but Dailly takes it in his stride. With a shake of the head,  he carries on.

52min - Neither side is shirking the tackles - time and space on the ball is proving hard for both teams to acquire.

50min - Collison goes into the referee's notebook for a challenge.

49min - 'Gala again reads the play well to cut out Nielsen's run into the penalty area.

48min - Liam Bridcutt tests Walker with a stinging effort. Chelsea have begun the brighter.

47min - 'Gala does superbly to stop Woods just as he seemed certain to score. The towering centre-back timed his challenge to perfection.

46min - Chelsea, who have brought on Ben Gordon for Van Aanholt, get us under way in the second half.

HALF-TIME

45min - Collison glides forward to great effect before feeding Stanislas. He wins a corner and takes it himself - but Dailly is penalised as he rises to head for goal. Free-kick to Chelsea.

44min - Walker saves brilliantly from Woods after the Chelsea attacker got between Tomkins and 'Gala. It was a fine save, particularly as he has not had much to do on a cold night.

43min - The hosts win a corner which Stanislas takes but Chelsea clear with ease.

41min - West Ham United are applying some late pressure but need a terrific challenge by Bondz 'Gala to clear the danger after a Chelsea counterattack.

39min - Woods gets another shot away for Chelsea but Walker has not really been tested at all this half.

38min - Danish youth international Nielsen looks a threat for Chelsea in attack. But James Tomkins is shadowing him well and twice clears the danger in a matter of seconds.

36min - An outstanding challenge by Dailly stops Michael Woods in his tracks just as the Chelsea midfielder looked like getting a head of steam in midfield.

34min - Collison, who looks as assured as he has all season, works some space 30 yards from goal before having a go at goal. The captain was unable to get much power behind the effort though and Searle saved comfortably.

32min - Stoch wins a free-kick after a handball was given against Fitzgerald just outside the penalty area about ten yards in from the touchline. The ball is rolled to James Simmonds in space but his shot sails over the crossbar with Walker untroubled.

30min - The game is a bit stop-start at the moment. Neither side has really got the upper hand. Stanislas looks the most likely to do anything for the home side and his mazy run leaves three defenders in his wake but his cross ultimately comes to nothing.

26min - Shaun Cummings wins a corner but Chelsea are unable to do anything with it. West Ham United break and win a free-kick. A chance for some pressure at the other end but that also comes to nothing.

22min - Dailly brings down Rodriguez with a strong challenge near the halfway line. The Scotland defender is as determined as ever this evening.

20min - Rodriguez fires wide with a tame shot after outstanding play on the left-wing by Patrick van Aanholt. Walker was happy just to watch the effort go wide after the move promised so much.

17min - Hunt and Stanislas combine well before Collison breaks forward beyond the Chelsea defence. The Wales Under-21 midfielder had gone just too soon, however, as the offside flag goes up.

16min - Walker comfortably saves a speculative long-range effort from Sergio Tejera Rodriguez.

15min - Jimmy Walker races 20 yards from goal to clear the danger just as Morten Nielsen threatened to race through after a defence-splitting pass. Chelsea are starting to show.

14min - Chelsea work their first real opening but Collison manages to get the ball away after a fine cross in from Miroslav Stoch for the visitors.

13min - Jack Collison is showing his usual commitment, already weighing in with a couple of keen challenges.

11min - Hines does well to win the ball back.  He feeds left-winger Lorcan Fitzgerald but his cross into the box is claimed by Searle.

9min - Poor control by Stuart Searle in the Chelsea goal presents West Ham United with a corner. Dailly misses the first ball in but when it comes back to Junior Stanislas he fires in a low shot that Searle does well to smother. Stanislas is playing in a front three with Zavon Hines and Ben Hunt.

7min - It is a scrappy opening with neither side yet to fashion a chance on goal. It is a cold evening and perhaps it will take time for the game to warm up.

5min - Bright play from the home side sees Chelsea pulled from left to right but the visitors manage to close out the danger.

3min - Corner to Chelsea but Christian Dailly, playing in midfield tonight, gets it away. He will sit just in front of Bondz 'Gala and James Tomkins.

1min - Ben Hunt and Zavon Hines get us under way.

KICK-OFF

6.55pm - A decent crowd is present for what promises to be a competitive contest . The pitch looks in superb condition, helped by a small pre-match shower although the rain appears to have cleared.

6.42pm - The unbeaten run began with a 1-0 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur on 9 October before 1-1 and 2-2 draws away and at home against Fulham and Arsenal respectively. Then came that Derby demolition - with Collison joined on the scoresheet by Hogan Ephraim, Kyel Reid and Scott Parker while there were two goals apiece for Junior Stanislas and Dean Ashton.

6.20pm - Welcome to a chilly Woodside Park for another local derby for Kevin Keen's side. The reserves are on a four-match unbeaten run, having recorded an 8-0 victory at Derby County a fortnight ago. Some of the club's brightest young talents will be on view, aided by the experience of Jimmy Walker in goal and Christian Dailly.
