Hammers to star in Woody benefit match

West Ham United will be taking part in a benefit match for our Youth Academy goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman at the end of the season.

Alan Curbishley will be taking a full first-team squad to Sixfields Stadium on Tuesday, May 15 to face a Northampton Town Wembley 1997 XI, made up mainly of players from the 1995-98 period at Northampton Town, plus Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate.

Andy made 200 appearances for Northampton between 1995 and 1999 and was one of the most popular keepers in the club's history. He played in both of their 1997 and 1998 Divisional play-off finals at Wembley, saving a penalty in the second match.

The game will kick off at 7.00pm and tickets will go on sale from the Northampton Town Box Office - tel 0870 822 1966 - on Monday, April 23, priced at £10 for adults, £6 for concessions and £3 for under-16s.
