West Ham United have been handed an away tie at Chesterfield in the Carling Cup third round draw.
Hammers will travel to Saltergate in the week commencing October 23 to face the League One outfit, who caused an upset in midweek when they knocked out our Premiership opponents today, Manchester City, in the second round.
Alan Pardew's men enter the League Cup at the third round
stage this season due to our involvement in the UEFA Cup, and it
will be the third time in the space of 12 years that we have faced
the Spireites in the competition.
