DANNY Gabbidon said West Ham will simply re-group and re-focus to put things right after the defeat against Newcastle.
Danny said while there will be hard work carried out on the training pitch this week, he also feels that a small break in front of goal will also go a long way in turning results round the right way for the team.
He said: "It's not really happening for us out there at the moment. All teams go through it and we always knew that it would be tougher this season.
"You could say that we started better last season and at the moment we're not keeping the clean sheets like we know we can and it's just not been happening for us in front of goal in the last couple of games.
"I think it's a case of the two together and we must work to put it all right again, because once we do that, the results will come in for us again."
Danny said while the players look at what they did right or wrong in a game, sometimes a bit of lady luck does make a difference.
He said: "I thought we were bit unlucky really in the Palermo game and we went into the Newcastle game confident and aiming for three points, but it didn't happen.
"We defend and attack together as a team, so the results are no one's fault individually, obviously as a defender myself, it's frustrating when we don't keep clean sheets.
"There were a couple of chances in the Newcastle game, the free-kick from Carlos (Tevez) went close and then the effort from Lee (Bowyer)'s strike which went just wide.
"On another day, we would've finished the chances off and it would have been Newcastle chasing the game, but it didn't work out like that."
Danny added: "We've been pretty good at coming back from going behind in games but you don't want to keep doing that and it doesn't always work out for you, so our focus is on getting that first goal, because that can be a real turning point and means we can really start to build on the game straight away."
Danny is confident that the Hammers can find their feet both in defence and in front of goal, because the team is strong and everyone knows what they are capable of .
He said: "We feel we are defending well for most of a match lately but are still conceding and it's a case of putting that right and with a bit of luck perhaps at the other end, the results will turn in out favour again.
"We need one of Bobby's cross-shots again or one that went off his leg against Villa. A couple of lucky shots will do, that's all you need sometimes, a bit of luck like that, say in front of goal, it gets you ahead and then we can go forward in the game and show much more of what we're about again."
Danny added: "You are disappointed initially when you lose, but then you know that game has gone and you focus on the next one. You look to work on the positives just as much as sorting out the mistakes, you always look for what positives you can take from every game and that's what we'll be doing."
