Ephraim agrees loan move to Colchester

Young Hammers striker Hogan Ephraim has today joined Colchester United on a one-month loan deal.

The England Under-19 international, who has made one first-team appearance for the Hammers so far - against Sheffield Wednesday in the Carling Cup last season - will sign for the Championship side in time for their derby clash against Southend United on Saturday.

Hogan, 18, has been a regular and impressive performer at reserve team level this season, and has also been included in a number of Alan Pardew's first team squads, making the substitutes' bench for our UEFA Cup clash in Palermo in September.
