There are a limited number of places still available in
the mini-soccer tournament for youngsters that former Hammer George
Parris is organising on the Upton Park pitch this summer.
Two separate tournaments will be taking place on Sunday, June 4 -
one for an under-11 age-group and one for an under-12
age-group.
The under-11 tournament is now sold out, but there are still a
few places left for teams wishing to enter the under-12 tournament.
There will be four groups of four teams in each tournament, with
the top two in each group progressing to the knock-out stages of
the "winners" competition and the bottom two entering
into the "plate" competition. Matches will be of 15
minutes duration and the tournaments will be registered with the
Football Association.
George will host the day and will present awards to the winners and
certificates to all who take part. The players will have the use of
the dressing room facilities and emerge from the tunnel at the
Boleyn Ground, while admission is free to spectators.
The cost of entry is £600.00 for a squad of 10 players
(£60.00 per player).
