International Hammers endure tough night

West Ham United's international representatives all endured rather disappointing results during the latest round of friendly matches on Wednesday night.

Only the Welsh trio of Danny Gabbidon, James Collins and Carl Fletcher managed to avoid defeat, as all three Hammers were in the starting line-up for Wales' 0-0 draw with Paraguay at the Millennium Stadium.

Elsewhere, Scotland defender Christian Dailly was on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat against Switzerland at Hampden Park, while loan signing Lionel Scaloni was also in action as Argentina conceded a last-minute goal to slip to a 3-2 defeat against Croatia in Switzerland.

Finally, Israeli pair Yossi Benayoun and Yaniv Katan also tasted defeat, losing 2-0 against Denmark in Tel Aviv, in a match that signalled the last in charge for national team coach Avraham Grant.
