The Premier League has confirmed that fixtures for the
2006-07 campaign will be announced on Thursday, June 22.
The fixtures are expected to be released at around 11.00am, ahead of the new season which kicks off on Saturday, August 19 - a week later this year because of the World Cup finals taking place in the summer.
Alan Pardew's squad are due to return to Chadwell Heath for pre-season training in the first week of July, when they will undergo fitness and physical testing before once again heading off to Sweden for a week of training and matches.
