West Ham United is pleased to confirm that Argentine international defender Lionel Scaloni has signed on loan from Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old right-back flew into London on Tuesday evening and agreed the short-term deal just before the close of the January transfer window at midnight.
A full international with five caps for Argentina, Lionel joined Deportivo from Estudiantes in March 1998 and has made more than 250 appearances for the Spanish outfit, including over 50 games in the Champions League during the past five seasons.
