West Ham United is delighted to announce that, at half-time
during tonight's Premiership clash against Liverpool, young
schoolboy midfielder Tom Harvey will sign his first full-time
contract with the Club.
The Dagenham-born youngster, who represents England under-16 level, has been at Upton Park since the age of 10 and will join the Academy playing staff this summer.
A dynamic midfielder with bags of energy, Tom has already made several appearances for the under-18 side this season and travelled with the reserve team on a number of occasions.
Academy Director Tony Carr says: "Tom is an all-action midfielder who has made huge strides in the past couple of years and gained international recognition for his progress.
"He is a local lad who has been with the Club since the age of 10 and, like Mark Noble, has a real love and enthusiasm for West Ham United.
"Along with Jordan Spence, he will be joining the playing staff full-time in July and we hope that he continues to work hard and make further progress."
