Charlton, meanwhile, have striker Shaun Bartlett available again after a facial injury, while former Hammers Chris Powell and Matt Holland are set to be named in Alan Curbishley's starting line-up.

Previous meetings: Charlton visit Upton Park today for the first time since August 2002, when goals from Claus Jensen and Jon Fortune earned them a 2-0 victory against a Hammers team destined for relegation from the Premiership.

Charlton also secured a 2-0 victory in the most recent encounter between the two sides - the Premiership clash at The Valley on December 31, 2005, when goals from Shaun Bartlett and Darren Bent ensured victory for the hosts.

Our last victory against Alan Curbishley's men came back in April 2002, and the scoreline was again 2-0. A penalty from Paolo Di Canio opened the scoring, before Fredi Kanoute added a second.
