CLIVE Clarke and Chris Cohen are the two players with experience of
senior football named by Kevin Keen in a young Reserve team to
take on Southampton.
Clarke and Cohen played in last week's 3-1 win at Portsmouth
and will again start as part of Kevin Keen's back four. Also
lining-up for the defence are Jemel Henry at right-back and Liam
White at centre-half.
In goal, Matt Reed continues after making an impressive start to
the season and first year Academy scholar David
Blackmore is named as the substitute goalkeeper after Eren
Kemal was injured playing for the Under-18s on Saturday.
The midfield has a youthful look to it with David Cowley and Tony
Stokes paired in the centre, with Ryan Andrews operating on the
right in a slightly unfamiliar role from the full-back position he
is used to playing.
In-form Ishmael Welsh starts on the left in place of Kyel Reid who
is on duty with the England Under-19s along with Hogan Ephraim.
James Tomkins is unavailable due to his participation in the Pepsi
Tournament with the England Under-17s.
Up front sees a new Reserve team strike partnership of Jack Jeffery
and Zavon Hines who will both be making their first starts for the
Reserves this evening.
The team to face Southampton is as follows:
